My bad experience with Upwork
I decided to start my freelance career from Upwork Because I realize It’s a famous platform and huge work changes.
I completed the registered account and quickly done a 2$ record voice job. My target work is developing the VOIP webrtc project. It’s really high to compete in Upwork. after I have 2$ earn, Upwork suspended my account without any notify ask for video verification, When I completed the video verification my account back to normal. That gives me a little unpleasant but not much, the video verification goes through very quickly, then they recovery my account to normal very soon.
When I find a job in Upwork about a month, I complete a tough job and earned 100 dollars, then the customer gave me another 50 dollars job, He also offered me 25 dollars tips when I quickly complete it. I really appreciate this customer, He gives me the hope to start my freelance career and I have the ambition to build a good profile in Upwork and regard Upwork as my mainly freelance platform.
But unfortunately, after I get the earned one week my account suspended again, They said my account suspended for random video verification, When I complete the video verification I found my account also suspended, Upwork also shows I need a video verification. I tried to do a video verification again, They told me I passed the video verification, But my account suspended by another team. I check my email found my account suspended for irregular activity, I asked the details for irregular activity because I really have no idea of what’s I have done deny Upwork tos. I very worried and don’t get a reply for days, and I can’t find them in the Upwork forum because once my account suspended I can’t send any message in the forum.
After three days they replied to me and ask me to do an additional verification, that need to provide my government ID and address verification. It’s really hard to get a bank statement with my address because Chinese banks rarely have a statement with the host address. But when I finally provide all documents they asked, I just receive a message my account is permanently deactivated and they will not communicate with me anymore.
And now I can’t communicate with them anymore because my account is can’t log in. And until now they don’t give me a specific reason why my account is irregular activity and why my account permanently deactivated, I only can guess the reason that if I usually use a VPN and log in my account in too many devices, But all just a guess. Their team is really rude and like a bastard. They can randomly suspend your account and don’t give peace of reason. Their reply like a robot and not a human, you don’t hope to have a normal talk with them. I have seen many negative comments about Upwork, But I haven’t taken too much serious about it because I think Upwork is a big platform and they can’t act like this.
why my account suspended after having earned, I have endured their highly 20% project fee and connections fee everything fee. But they not satisfied and just permanently deactivated your account after you got earns. You spend huge times and hard work, and also spend yourself money to buy connections to bid a job. finally, you get nothing. Just get angry and disappointed. Upwork is really a scammer!!!
